About the Event

Curtis Jobling is the designer of worldwide hit children's television show 'Bob the Builder', and the author/illustrator of numerous children’s books. He lives with his wife, Emma, in Cheshire, England, along with a menagerie of children and pets.

Early work on ‘Wallace & Gromit’ and ‘Mars Attacks!’ led to Curtis picking up his crayons in 1997 to design the BAFTA winning ‘Bob’. His own animated series, ‘Frankenstein’s Cat’ and ‘Raa Raa the Noisy Lion’, can both be seen on the BBC.

Curtis visits schools across the UK and overseas, delivering talks and workshops that cover his work in film, television and publishing. With live doodling, cartoon screening and readings from his written works, there's something for everyone in the audience. Encouraging reading for pleasure, in every instance, his talks are fun, humorous, informative and interactive, and will appeal to students and teachers alike!

At The Wizard School, Curtis will deliver a talk and creative writing workshop session for interested students. Space is limited, so please register as soon as possible.
